Rev. Janice A. Puliti
Pastor Janice is the Lead Pastor at St. John’s. She was appointed in 2001 as Associate Pastor and re-appointed in 2008 to serve as Lead Pastor. She is a graduate of Neumann College (B.S.N.) and the University of Pennsylvania (M.S.N.) and served as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in both clinics and hospice settings before responding to God’s call to ordained ministry. Janice received her M.Div. from Palmer Seminary and is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. She has two children, Christopher (who is deceased) and Allison, who lives in Delaware County. Janice loves to spend time with her grandchildren, and also with her two shelties! She feels especially blessed to be serving St. John’s and the surrounding community, and believes that we truly are a church family of “Open Arms and Serving Hands, Transforming Lives Through Christ.”
Mrs. Ruth Portzline, CLM
Ruth moved to our area from West Virginia in June of 2011 to be closer to her daughter/son-in-law and three beautiful granddaughters! Before moving here, she held various positions in her local United Methodist church, was active on the District and Conference level, and was the director of the Fayetteville Food Pantry. In addition, Ruth was certified as a Lay Speaker and served as Lay Pastor of Harvey Chapel United Methodist Church, a small congregation where she preached and led worship each Sunday, provided pastoral care and did other pastoral duties. She is a Certified Lay Minister in our Conference and has been assigned to St. John’s as Assistant Pastor. She is passionate about reaching out, sharing the Gospel, and helping people find new life in Christ
Mr. David Bigam
David has been a member of St. John’s for nearly 20 years. Before taking over as the youth director in August of 2010, David was a welder/machinist for 30 years, also serving 9 years in the Pa. National Guard. David and his wife Carol taught children’s Sunday school, where Carol still helps out. His goal is to build an atmosphere for the youth to feel safe and to help show them their purpose with God. He has 2 grown children, Katie and Dale and loves to sing Christmas carols all year long.
Mrs. Lara Bolte
Director of Adult Ministries
Lara recently joined our staff after a handful of years of staying home with her children. Prior to starting her family and moving to Bucks County, Lara worked as a bankruptcy attorney in Atlanta, Georgia and then as a legal recruiter in Philadelphia. She lives in Richboro with her husband Rob, her wild boys Jonah (age 7) and Robert (age 4), her dog Chester, and her cats Charlie and Little Kitty. In her spare time, Lara enjoys reading, knitting, and perfecting her grilling techniques. She's also a beginner at CrossFit (which would surprise you if you knew her general distaste for exercising). An intellectually curious person by nature, Lara has earned a B.A. in English Literature and a J.D. from Florida State University, and has completed significant coursework toward a Masters degree in Secondary Education from St. Joseph's University.
